Mt Indefatigable - Joy (5.6)

Joy beta

60-80 m rope. Long rope makes stances much easier! But harder to communicate with partner (radios)? High degree of trust and confidence for this one. It is a big and moving fast is important.

Gear micro to 3, triple fingers (.3-.5) double .75. 8 draws more than enough!

Harness can go on at parking lot, light bags re nice.

Helmets on before reaching base, could even through them on before hiking up.

Set up stance away from rockfall. Solo up to ledge - bring second up and watch for rope and loose rocks!

Repeat step, watch for loose rocks!

Coil half and let the other half pile - short pitch to half ridge, short pitch to ridge end, hike with rope, short roping/pitching when appropriate. Pitch out gully and belay at top with two micro cams - coach to stay out of gully and on climbers right face.
